Love Bites

Loving someone can be such a painful thing.
You put your life on hold; it makes your heart sing.
You pour your heart out and it gets broken; love lies spoken.
Love excites, love bites.
Your heart seems as though it won't mend.
You toss and turn in bed; thinking about every word he said.
Love excites, love bites.
You cry, it makes you so sad.
Your heart keeps sinking in your chest thinking of the love you had.
You feel so much sorrow; hoping it will be better tomorrow.
Love excites, love bites.
You pray that you will be able to love again,
but it's hard to lower the wall you've built around yourself.
Then love presents itself.
You say to yourself, I hope it will be; that they are the one for me.
But you know... that love excites and love bites.
