Red Rose

My Love's like a red rose that is newly sprung in June,
like a melody that is sweetly played in tune.
My Love's like a rose's sunshine, so full of energy and light.
I was but a mere vessel, tossing about helplessly in a sea of loneliness,
until I found you, my lovely red rose, shining bright.
My spirits are lifted just by the sound of your voice and that look in your eyes.
You make my life worth living, my red rose surprise.
I will love thee, my red rose, through the seasons,
through times of trouble, for your love gives my life reason.
I will love thee, my red rose, for as long as the sands of life shall run.
I will give you all the love I have to give,
and anything else for the chance to touch your heart;
for because of you, my life is now fun.
I pray our love till death do us part,
and that to each other we’ll be true and never feel blue.
My lovely red rose, you make my spirits fly.
Without you, just like a rose, I would wither and die.
Not all at once, but little by little, petal by petal,
instead of disappearing life's problems unsettled.
With our deep love felt by so few,
my red rose, the love of my life, I love you.
