Obama Trapped In Ideology

Like many Democrats, Obama cannot consider the possibility that the government is not the solution to our current economic woes.

A business CEO has 60 employees. A new president gets elected during economic hard times and proposes new legislation, which gets enacted, that requires companies with 50 or more employees to provide health care coverage to its workforce. Because the company would not be able to sustain the added expense, the CEO reduces his workforce to 49 employees.

Even though businesses across the country are struggling to stay open during the downturn of the economy, the new White House administration continues to think of more new (unnecessary) regulations for businesses, which adds more expenses to the CEO's business and many others across the country, and causes his business, like many others, to struggle even more -- overall monthly expenses for the CEO's business have increased 36% since 2009.

So to cover the added costs caused by the new regulations from the new White House administration and current negative economic conditions, the CEO reduced his workforce down to 35.

Now President Obama says he is going to announce yet another a jobs plan Thursday, which like his other (so-called) jobs plans, will surely cause further burdens on the CEO's business and many others across the country. So now the CEO is planning to reduce his workforce even further, and considering closing up the business. Instead of putting people to work, the new administration is putting people out of work.

President Obama is trapped in his ideology and believes that only government programs can solve society's economic problems.

He does not realize that the economic policies of our nation that may have worked under President Franklin D. Roosevelt in the 1930's cannot work today. Like many Democrats, Obama cannot even consider the possibility that the government is not the solution to our current economic woes.

We are in a different era. Economic policies that FDR proposed and got enacted in the 1930's can never work in today's society. We are in a completely different economic era now. We are in a global economy and high tech economy now and not a predominantly agricultural based economy of the 1930's through to the 1960's, and the economic policies that worked during that time can never work now.
